I discuss historical facts about America not to demean Americans, but to emphasize the importance of understanding the impact their country has had on the world from the time of the founding of the 13 colonies.
Undoubtedly, America holds a prominent position on the global stage. However, a more pertinent inquiry arises: "Can the United States of America be a force for good?" Historically, it has seldom served as a force for good.
Since the founding of the 13 colonies, the US has engaged in warfare and genocide, killing the greatest number of human beings, unparalleled in history. It is imperative for Americans to acknowledge this undeniable reality. This pattern of aggression continues unabated to this day.
In the entire history of the United States of America there have been a grand total of 15 years when America has not been at war with someone. Big wars. Small wars. Wars waged on the open seas, in small rivers, across sandy hills, through dense trees, and high in the sky. The United States has engaged in them all.
When I say Americans decimated 90% of the native population and bolstered their economy through the toil, tears, and suffering of black slaves, this statement is not a falsehood but a historical reality.
The assertion that America is a stolen country stands as an irrefutable historical truth. Who could contest such a fact? Presuming contemporary Americans uphold strong ethical values, would they be willing to relinquish power to indigenous peoples?
Why do I bring these historical truths up today? It’s because America continues to tread the path of war and devastation even to the present day.
My aim is for America to discover methods of wealth generation that do not rely on aggression, bullying, and conflict. It is crucial that we embrace a mindset of cooperation, pursuing a win-win approach rather than perpetuating the zero-sum game.
It is imperative for Americans to acknowledge this undeniable reality and repent because this pattern of aggression continues unabated to this day.
